Jackie Robinson Breaking the Color Barrier

Home

Project Overview

Jackie Robinson was one of the most important sports figures of all time. His influence went way beyond the world of sports. The goal of this project is to help develop my students' understanding of the nature and causes of stereotypes, prejudices and racism. Students will find a wealth of ideas that will lead them to further research the important, interesting, and relevant topic of racism in the United States, both in and out of sports and to value the dignity and diversity of all.
