This lesson is designed to teach young students the strategies of making inferences and comparing and contrasting. Through the use of photographs from the Library of Congress students will explore and discover that classrooms from the past have similarities and differences to today's classrooms. They will demonstrate their understanding of making inferences and comparing and contrasting through the use of Venn Diagrams, drawings and verbal discussion.
